Now having a solid talent spec is crucial to being an effective priest, to that end, here is a lvl 80 shadow priest pvp build which is guaranteed to yield you good results (20/0/51):

Now with a solid talent spec serving as the backbone for your Shadow Priest, here’s a few tips to help you out with some of your arena matchups:

Vs. Rogues

  • You’ll want to make sure Inner Fire and Fortitude are always on…also, use your shield to ride out the initial assault.
  • When possible, cast Psychic Scream.  Follow up with DOT’ing and Fearing.
  • If you ever see the Rogue cast Vanish, just start bandaging yourself up and put your shield on again since the fight will pretty much start from the beginning.

Vs. Warriors

  • Be wary of warriors carrying shields, they are spec’d Protection usually and can either keep you stunned or silenced ½ of the time.
  • Make sure you have Power Word: Shield whenever it’s possible.  This will keep the warrior from generating rage since they can’t dish out any damage.

Vs. Mages

  • Mages can cause a lot of damage and quickly, they’ll take you out fast if you don’t watch it.  To prevent this, make sure you CC them whenever you can.
  • You want to be DPS’ing mages as much as you can, use your shield whenever possible (every 15 seconds) and use Mana Burn.
  • If they bring up a water elemental, take it out of the equation with Fear.
